Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant supporting attorneys in litigation
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience coordinating court filings, scheduling, and case management activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all aspects of insurance defense, liability and coverage
• Prepare, edit, and file legal documents with Illinois state and federal courts
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, notices, and other legal documents
• Coordinate and schedule hearings, mediations, depositions, client meetings, and other case-related events
• Maintain attorney calendars and monitor case deadlines
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and other parties
• Assist with billing, expense tracking, and other administrative functions as needed
• Provide general litigation and case management support
• Perform additional duties as assigned
