Legal Assistant – Consumer Litigation & Client Services
A growing law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy Consumer Litigation and Client Services team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys client interaction, administrative support, case management, and working in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with case investigations and support ongoing litigation and pre-litigation matters.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Initiate and manage the opening of new legal files.
- Complete, scan, organize, and maintain various legal documents, forms, and authorizations.
- Obtain and track records, reports, medical documentation, videos, and other case-related materials.
- Report claims to insurance carriers and request policy information.
- Draft and send routine correspondence on behalf of the legal team.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical client files.
- Request, monitor, and follow up on insurance information, records, and supporting documentation.
- Gather and organize medical records, bills, and related case materials.
- Process and track invoices associated with client files.
- Communicate coverage information to medical providers when necessary.
- Contact clients to obtain case updates and relevant information.
- Prepare supporting documentation for paralegals and attorneys.
- Copy, scan, upload, and organize documents for case files and settlement packages.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring documents are properly routed and filed.
- Scan and upload correspondence and records into the firm's case management system.
- Assist with document filing and records management.
- Handle phone communications with clients, medical providers, insurance representatives, and other parties.
- Provide administrative and case support to paralegals and attorneys as needed.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous legal, administrative, customer service, or insurance-related experience preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
