McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLP seeks an organized legal assistant to handle administrative tasks in Florida foreclosure cases. You will draft and proofread documents, update both firm and client case systems, and ensure timely client communication with title coordination.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with case and document management software.
  • Experience with client systems such as LoanSphere, Clairfire, Tempo, Vendorscape.
  • Understanding of foreclosure processes and title reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative tasks in the Florida foreclosure process and draft/ proofreading legal documents as needed.
  • Update the firm’s internal and clients’ case management systems accurately and consistently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients at all levels of interaction.
  • Support attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Provide regular client status updates and follow-up on outstanding documents; coordinate with title contacts for recordings and title tasks.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job description

Job entails managing all administrative tasks associated with the legal process of Florida judicial foreclosures. These tasks generally include drafting complaints, responding to correspondence and updating client systems. The position requires substantial coordination with other legal assistants and attorneys in multi-disciplinary team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Consistently and accurately updating the firm’s internal case management system, as well as all clients’ systems.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction.
  • Drafting and proofreading legal documents as required.
  • Providing support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere.
  • Providing regular and timely client status updates, as well as continual follow-up on outstanding documents and or services. Coordination with title contacts to complete outstanding tasks such as recordings and retrieval of missing documents.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor Degree or Associates Degree preferred but not required
  • Preferably at least 3 years of relevant work experience specifically with complaint preparation or title review.

  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrower, clients, attorneys, other internal employees, and outside parties.

  • Ability to read and write at a high level for proof reading and editing purposes.
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Proficiency in internet research activities.
  • Familiarity with case and document management software
  • Experience with client systems such as LoanSphere, Clairfire, Tempo, Vendorscape, and others is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred.
  • Experience with review of title reports and identifying chain of title issues preferred.
  • Ability to proficiently operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, and telephone is required.
