This is a 3+ month project opportunity offering $23–$30/hour, depending on experience, for a legal support professional who is passionate about using their skills and experience to support an organization grounded in Christian faith and service.
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant to support its Office of Legal Counsel and assist with legal needs across multiple departments. Working closely with the Supervising Attorney and legal team, this individual will support legal research, document preparation, contract and records management, deadline tracking, and the coordination of legal requests. The ideal candidate combines strong legal administrative skills, sound judgment, discretion, and technology proficiency with a genuine desire to support the organization's biblical mission and participate in its faith-centered workplace.
Partner closely with the Supervising Attorney on day-to-day legal matters, including highly confidential and privileged matters
Track incoming legal requests, respond to routine inquiries, route matters requiring legal judgment, and monitor deadlines and follow-up items
Conduct assigned legal research, summarize findings, and draft routine correspondence and legal documents using approved templates for attorney review
Proofread, organize, and maintain confidential legal documents and records while coordinating document requests, signatures, agreements, registrations, and renewals
Schedule meetings and coordinate with internal staff, consultants, and outside counsel while compiling materials for reports, presentations, projects, and external requests
Support contract and legal records management while leveraging technology to improve the efficiency and organization of Office of Legal Counsel operations
