McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLP in the United States is seeking a paralegal assistant to manage administrative tasks in the legal hearing process, coordinating with judicial assistants and attorneys, preparing documents, and updating internal systems. This is a remote position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum associate degree, Paralegal Certificate, or at least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant.
  • Default law firm experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Committed to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrower, clients, attorneys, other internal employees, and outside parties.
  • Able to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills; able to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in internet research activities.
  • Familiarity with case and document management software
  • Experience with client systems such as Loansphere, Clairfire, Tempo, Vendorscape and others is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred.
  • Ability to proficiently operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, and telephone is required.

  • Consistently and accurately updating the firm’s internal case management system, as well as all client systems.
  • Preparing life of file chronologies and uploading to client.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction.
  • Proofreading the legal documents as required.
  • Providing support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere.

JOB SUMMARY:

Job entails managing all administrative tasks associated with the legal process of setting judicial hearings. These tasks generally include communicating with judicial assistants and attorneys, preparing legal documents and updating internal system. The position requires substantial coordination with other legal assistants and attorneys in a team environment. This is a remote position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Communicating with judicial assistants to set and update hearings.
  • Communicating with attorneys and legal assistants.
  • Preparing Notice of Hearing and Cancellation of Hearing.
  • Requesting fee approval from clients.
