NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Office of Legal Affairs/Claims and Litigation. The role includes processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and supporting litigation and claims activities across the division.

The Legal Assistant will serve in the Office of Legal Affairs/Claims and Litigation. Responsibilities include processing of all invoices generated by the Division, tracking and maintaining vendor records, maintaining spreadsheets and other records to matters handled by the Division until final resolution, preparing and reconciling records provided to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), tracking assignments to assigned counsel, transferring files, coordinating conflict checks with outside counsel, updating electronic data base systems including Law Manager, opening and updating matters on ResolveStar, which is an electronic billing system utilized by outside counsel, onboarding and maintaining records related to vendors that provide litigation support services, performing claims history searches of medical providers, and general administrative duties.
A baccalaureate degree issued after completion of a four-year course in an accredited college or university; and,
