Qualifications

• 3+ years of Legal Assistant experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation is preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume law firm or litigation environment is preferred.
• Experience with state and federal court filing procedures and electronic filing systems.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy matters and federal court removals is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling civil defense matters.
• Draft, edit, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, discovery documents, motions, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents under attorney direction.
• Prepare and process state and federal court filings, including electronic filings.
• Prepare, issue, and track subpoenas and other requests for records or information.
• Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical case files.
• Manage attorney calendars and monitor important deadlines, including hearings, depositions, discovery deadlines, mediations, and trial dates.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, meetings, conferences, and other case-related matters.
• Assist with discovery by organizing documents, records, correspondence, and other case materials.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing binders, and coordinating case materials.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, vendors, and other parties.
• Assist with bankruptcy-related filings and federal court removals as applicable.
• Monitor case-related tasks and follow up on outstanding documents, records, filings, and deadlines.
• Assist attorneys with time entry, billing, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.
• Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.

About the Role
