Job summary

Flagship Pioneering is building a dedicated Legal Operations& Technology function in Cambridge, hiring a Senior Manager to lead AI-powered tools across the legal department. You will design, implement, and maintain AI solutions that accelerate legal service delivery while partnering with attorneys and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings strong AI/ML fluency, experience with LLMs/NLP, and familiarity with legal operations.

Qualifications

Experience building AI/ML solutions, including LLMs and NLP.
Exposure to legal workflows or in-house legal environments is a plus.
Strong understanding of prompt engineering and AI system evaluation.
Familiarity with legal tech landscape and AI governance best practices.
Excellent communication to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and deploy AI-powered tools for the legal team, including contract review, legal research, and document drafting.
Build and maintain prompt libraries and engineering frameworks for generative AI across the legal department.
Integrate AI tools with CLM, document management, and matter management systems.
Establish AI governance, risk assessments, and data security controls with cross-functional teams.
Deliver training and create playbooks for AI-assisted workflows; track adoption and ROI.
