Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys and paralegals in preparing, filing, and tracking employment-based immigration petitions and applications.
  • Manage case files, matter setup, deadlines, status updates, and electronic records from intake through completion.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain client, employer, and case documentation within the firm's case-management system.
  • Prepare USCIS and DOL filings, including petition finalization, check requests, shipping labels, and filing coordination.
  • Communicate with clients, employers, HR representatives, government agencies, and other stakeholders regarding case matters.
  • Track case progress, including receipts, approvals, RFEs, and other immigration-related developments.
  • Draft, proofread, and process correspondence and legal documents, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Coordinate document requests, signatures, meetings, consultations, and attorney/paralegal calendars.
  • Manage attorney time entry, client billing, mail processing, reimbursements, and other administrative functions.
  • Provide general case-management and administrative support to the immigration team.

As a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Immigration Service Line, you’ll play a key part in supporting our immigration attorneys and paralegals in preparing, filing and tracking employment-based immigration petitions and applications. We’re looking for a professional with 3+ years of legal administrative or immigration experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized and brings a strong work ethic along with sharp problem-solving skills.

Where You’ll Work

The Legal Administrative Assistant is an hourly non-exempt position and will work full-time from our Tampa, Florida office.

What You’ll Do
  • Support attorneys and paralegals in preparing, filing, and tracking employment-based immigration petitions and applications.
