Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) College of Business invites applicants for a Lecturer - Space Cyber Enterprise Management (pool). This revolving pool supports part-time, non-tenure track teaching, with classes potentially on-campus, online, or hybrid.

Appointments are reviewed semester-by-semester and may be offered when needs arise. Pay is per 3-credit hour course: $4,000 undergraduate, $4,500 graduate.

Qualifications

• A completed bachelor's degree in cyber security management, space science, law, or a closely related field with a minimum of three (3) years professional industry experience in these areas.
• OR A completed master's degree in cyber security management, space science, law, or a closely related field with a minimum of one-year professional industry experience in these areas is required.
• A terminal degree (e.g. PhD, DBA, JD) is preferred.
• Applicants with prior and relevant teaching experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction to undergraduate/graduate students both in-person and online courses.
• Maintains, develop and schedules student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
• Plans, develops, and implements evaluation tools to assess student progress towards course objectives.
• Be familiar with learning management systems, such as Canvas.
• Other duties as determined by the College of Business.

Pay Range

Pay Range : $4,000 for a 3-credit hourundergraduate course. $4,500 for a 3-credit hourgraduate course. This position is Exempt from theFair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Because this appointment is temporary in nature, you will not beeligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided tofaculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paidvacation leave, medical, or retirement benefits. However, you areeligible to accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours of sick leave per hourworked.

Determined by course modality: On-campus,online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be availableunder certain conditions.

Summary

The College of Business andAdministration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs(UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Space Cyber Enterprise Management from which futureappointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made.Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be madesemester-by-semester.

This position will teach classes in the areas of space cyberenterprise management. Classes may be on-campus, online, orhybrid.

This is a revolving Lecturer Pool for the College of Business. Ifthere is a course opening and your qualifications match a courseand the minimum requirements, you may be contacted at thattime.
