  • Provide instruction to undergraduate/graduate students in management, in-person or online.
  • Develop and schedule learning experiences to meet objectives.
  • Plan and implement evaluation tools to assess student progress.
  • Be familiar with Canvas or similar learning management systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the College of Business.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration
Master’s degree in business administration
Terminal degree (PhD/DBA/JD) preferred

This is an evergreen Lecturer Pool for the CollegeofBusiness at UCCS. Applications will be reviewed on a semester-by-semester basis as business needs arise.

Pay Range

: $4,000 for a 3-credit hour undergraduate course. $4,500 for a 3-credit hour graduate course. This position is Exempt from theFair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Work Location

: Determined by course modality: On-campus,online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be availableunder certain conditions.

Summary

The College of Business andAdministration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs(UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Management from which future appointments to temporary,non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time(less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. Thisposition will teach one or more Management classes. Example coursesinclude the following: intro to business, intro to management &organization, negotiation and conflict management, andorganizational development and change. Classes may be on-campus,online, or hybrid.

This is a revolving Lecturer Pool for the College of Business. Ifthere is a course opening and your qualifications match a courseand the minimum requirements, you may be contacted at thattime.

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but arenot limited to:

  • Provides instruction to undergraduate/graduate students bothin-person and online courses.
  • Maintains, develop and schedules student learning experiencesto achieve desired learning outcomes.
  • Plans, develops, and implements evaluation tools to assessstudent process towards course learning objectives.
  • Be familiar with learning management systems, such asCanvas.
  • Other duties as determined by the College of Business.

Qualifications :
  • A completed bachelor's degree in business administration, or a closely related field with a minimum of three (3) yearsprofessional experience in these areas.
  • OR A completed master's degree in businessadministration, or a closely related field with a minimum ofone-year of professional industry experience in these areas isrequired.
  • A terminal degree (e.g. PhD, DBA, JD) is preferred.
  • Applicants with prior and relevant teaching experience arepreferred.
