Auburn University at Montgomery is inviting applications for a non-tenure track, full-time lecturer position in the Department of Communication and Theatre to begin August 2026. This is a one-year (nine-month), renewable appointment.

The role involves teaching courses aligned with departmental needs and maintaining office hours. The teaching load is 4-4 courses per academic year, with possible summer teaching and an opportunity to join a growing theatre program that stages multiple productions

Overview

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include teaching courses appropriate to the needs of the department and maintaining office hours. The teaching load is 4-4 courses (24 credit hrs) per academic year (Fall and Spring). Summer teaching is possible.

The successful candidate will join three colleagues in an esteemed Theatre program that produces three annual productions with Theatre AUM, one of which receives an external response for the American College Theater Festival each year.
