Lecturer – Humanities Pool

College of Letters, Arts and Sciences

Summary

This part‑time, non‑tenure track position is part of a pool of Humanities lecturers who will be appointed on a semester‑by‑semester basis. The lecturer will teach a variety of courses in the Humanities discipline. Exact courses will be determined at the time of appointment. The position may be taught in person, online, or in a hybrid format, and remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is $1,300 per credit hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Because this is a temporary, part‑time appointment, the lecturer is not eligible for the full range of faculty benefits under the University of Colorado benefits program. Eligible benefits include accrual of sick leave at 0.034 hours per hour worked. The position is exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Work Location

Location is determined by course modality: on‑campus, online, or hybrid. Remote teaching may be possible under certain conditions.

• Master’s degree in the relevant field or significant experience in the field, documented in a Letter of Expertise submitted to HR.
