Qualifications

  • PhD or terminal degree in Kinesiology or closely related discipline; ABD considered if degree completed by appointment.
  • Proven teaching experience in higher education with effectiveness.
  • Teaching competencies in motor development, motor control, motor learning, and/or biomechanics.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the equivalent of six courses per academic year (3 each fall and spring).
  • Provide leadership to undergraduate curricula evaluation and innovation.
  • Teach core courses in undergraduate programs including large lectures with labs.
  • Supervise graduate teaching assistants and mentor students.
  • Advise graduate students and serve on graduate examining committees.
