Job summary

University of Minnesota Twin Cities seeks a dynamic Lecturer (Academic Professional) in Human Movement Science. The role covers undergraduate and graduate teaching, curricular leadership, and mentoring graduate theses.

Teaching loads are heavy across courses with laboratory components, and opportunities exist for summer teaching based on enrollment. Candidates should demonstrate strong teaching effectiveness, collaboration across departments, and a commitment to service and student mentoring

Qualifications

• Earned PhD or terminal degree in Kinesiology or closely related field; ABD considered if degree by appointment.
• MS in Kinesiology or related discipline with 2+ years in pedagogy, clinical, research, sports performance, or industry settings.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in higher education.
• Teaching competencies in motor development, motor control, motor learning, and/or biomechanics.

Responsibilities

• Teach the equivalent of 6 courses per academic year (3 fall, 3 spring).
• Lead undergraduate curricula evaluation and innovation.
• Teach core undergraduate courses with laboratory components.
• Develop course content, materials, and syllabi.
