Part-Time Continuing Education Instructor

Position Overview : We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Continuing Education Instructors to teach a variety of courses across disciplines including, but not limited to, healthcare, technology, business, arts, youth programs, trades, and personal development. The ideal candidate will possess substantial professional experience in their subject area, and demonstrate a passion for facilitating engaging and practical learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and/or teach courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students’ active participation in their own learning.
• Create an effective learning environment that fosters students’ intellectual curiosity and help students problem‑solve using discipline‑specific strategies.
• Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and achievement of learning outcomes.
• Help students reach their academic, personal, and career goals while fostering a safe environment that respects diversity and encourages confidence in every student’s ability to learn.
• Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, Board rules, and policies.

Compensation

The compensation for this part‑time instructor position will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the course subject matter.

• Salary Range: $17.00 - $80.00
