Continuing Education – Instructor (Part Time)

Consider joining Truman College's Continuing Education Department as a part‑time instructor. We are looking for dedicated and personable instructors who want to teach students of all ages and share their real‑world experiences with a classroom of eager learners.

General Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum and weekly lesson plans that are age- and experience‑appropriate.
• Deliver classes in‑person onsite and remotely.
• Ability to teach using different methods to meet students' needs and abilities.
• Inspire, motivate, and foster confidence in all students.
• Adhere to the City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, board rules, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three years of teaching and/or training experience.
• Degree or certification in preferred teaching area.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a diverse group of students and staff.
• Inspire, motivate, and foster confidence in all students.

The starting pay for this position is $35 an hour. Benefits information can be found on the City Colleges of Chicago website.
