Job summary

The University of Wyoming invites applications for a full-time Academic Lecturer in the Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering to support undergraduate and graduate education in petroleum and energy engineering.

The successful candidate will teach, mentor students, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in service activities aligned with the department's mission. Teaching load is 15 credit hours per academic year, on-campus, non-tenure track.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated teaching, training, or industry experience relevant to energy and petroleum engineering.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Energy and Petroleum Engineering.
  • Deliver instruction in classroom, laboratory, hybrid, and online formats.
  • Develop and update course materials to meet industry needs and accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in assessment and continuous improvement activities associated with ABET accreditation.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement initiatives.
  • Support senior design projects and experiential learning activities.
  • Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to maintain curriculum relevance.
  • Assist with student recruitment, retention, and outreach efforts.
