James Madison University invites applications for a renewable term lecturer who will teach existing human anatomy and human physiology laboratory and lecture courses. Qualifications

  • Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent terminal degree in physiology, anatomy, biomedical science, or related field is required.
  • Prior experience teaching undergraduate courses in these or related fields is preferred.
  • Use of evidence-based pedagogical practices must be demonstrated; effective communication and collaboration skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with instructional technologies and accessible teaching practices is important for student success.
  • Experience developing or teaching online anatomy and/or physiology courses would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Teach existing introductory human anatomy and human physiology labs and lectures.
  • Service and scholarship expectations are commensurate with role and contract type.
  • Contribute to the Anatomy and Physiology concentration and support biology majors and pre-health students.
