The School of Physical Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) anticipates positions and invites applications for Full- or Part-Time Lecturers (Unit 18) in the Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence for Science (AI SCI) program. Lecturer responsibilities typically include instruction in one or more courses in the MS program curriculum. Such responsibilities include significant academic preparation by an individual Unit 18 faculty member independently (e.g., syllabus development, lesson planning for class meetings, and assignment development), office hours, and/or grading outside the class by the instructor.
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
A Ph.D. or M.S. in science or engineering, or an equivalent level of education or experience in a related field, complemented by a record of effective instruction at the university level and familiarity with methods of modern applied artificial intelligence.
