Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a dedicated teacher for the Handicapped to lead a P-12 special education program in New Jersey.
The teacher will align instruction with the New Jersey Core Content Standards and district objectives and develop engaging lessons that support student growth. The role requires collaboration with parents and staff, documentation of pupil progress, conduct of IEP meetings, and ongoing participation in professional development.
Each teaching staff member shall make every effort, within the area of his/her professional expertise, the scope of their certification, to instruct students in their charge in accordance with the special education curriculum and course of study adopted by the Board of Education. It is the teacher's role to ensure student learning by engaging students with authentic challenges that allow for assessment that measures growth and informs future instruction.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University, a Teacher of the Handicapped / Teacher of Students with Disabilities certificate.
To ensure that the P-12 Special Education Program is well-developed, aligned with the New Jersey Core Content Standards and district objectives, clearly articulated, and consistently carried out.
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.
Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal or superintendent may assign or delegate.
Proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position.
