Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Leave of Absence Analyst to oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations, with a focus on FMLA, ADA, state and local laws, and disability programs. The role handles complex cases and confidential medical information to ensure compliant processes.

You will partner with HR and managers to determine eligibility, manage leave in ADP, communicate requirements to employees, and facilitate smooth return-to-work transitions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Leave of Absence experience.
• 2 years of human resources experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
• Relevant experience with Union employees.
• Stakeholder Management.
• Completion of specialized certification or training on FMLA/leave administration a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track employee leave information using ADP and prepare reporting metrics.
• Oversee FMLA leave administration from initial notice through return to work.
• Communicate with employees regarding their leave responsibilities and necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with HR and managers to determine leave eligibility and support operational improvements.
• Advise on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off and disability benefits.
• Facilitate the return-to-work process for employees after extended leave.
• Maintain compliance with legal requirements and confidentiality of medical documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to LOA Specialists and educate stakeholders on leave policies.

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
