Milwaukee Tool is seeking an LOA Advisor within the Human Resources Department who will manage end-to-end leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation while delivering a positive employee experience.

In addition to LOA duties, this role will champion benefits communication, coordinate wellness initiatives, and partner with managers to support accommodations and return-to-work processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years HR experience with LOA administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
• Thorough understanding of FMLA, LOA, workers’ compensation, and ADA/accommodation policies/procedures.
• Experience in benefits communication/education campaigns.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing workforce.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Responsabilités

• Acts as first point of contact for LOA inquiries; conducts intake and assesses caller needs.
• Assesses LOA case information to determine eligibility in line with regulations; identifies appropriate leave type.
• Consults as SME on LOA inquiries; educates employees on responsibilities.
• Works with employee and manager on accommodations; informs about pay/benefits impacts.
• Uses internal/external resources to provide up-to-date information to employees.
• Draft LOA correspondence for notifications, approvals, and medical certifications.
• Makes timely case decisions and communicates expectations with relevant parties.
• Partners with Managers/HRBP on next steps for exhausted entitlements.
• Manages administrative LOA aspects including tracking hours and coordinating with Payroll.
• Organizes LOA files and maintains documentation separate from other records.
• Tracks baby births for Baby Welcome gifts.
• Ensures return-to-work and engages in interactive process with manager.
• Runs reports to identify upcoming leaves and returns; creates ad-hoc reports.
• Coordinates on-site wellness activities and sources wellness vendors.
