The City of Atlanta’s Department of Human Resources seeks a seasoned leader to direct the Office of Medical Leave. You will oversee FMLA, ADA, PWFA programs, guide staff, develop procedures, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering excellent service to employees and City departments.

Works under the general direction of the Human Resources Deputy Commissioner or designee.

– Master’s degree, Juris Doctor, or other advanced degree in a related field with seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, leave administration, disability management, employee relations, or a related field. Five (5) or more years of direct ADA and FMLA administration experience. Three (3) or more years of supervisory or management experience. Experience managing a high-volume leave and accommodation operation. Experience developing and implementing ADA/FMLA policies, procedures, forms, or standard operating procedures. Experience working with employment counsel on complex leave and accommodation matters. Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, CLMS, or comparable credential.
