Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Leave Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month contract in Folsom, NJ. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the office, with an expected schedule of approximately 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
The Leave Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the administration of employee leave programs. This is an HR data entry and leave administration support role.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities
Job Duties & Scope of Responsibility
- Receive approved leave information and updates from the Third-Party Administrator (TPA).
- Accurately enter and maintain continuous and intermittent leave records in Workday's Time Off and Leave modules.
- Process leave transactions based on TPA determinations, including:
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Medical Leave
- Personal Leave
- Parental Leave
- Military Leave
- State and local leave programs
- Other company-sponsored leave programs
- Enter leave start dates, estimated return‑to‑work dates, leave extensions, leave closures, and return‑to‑work information.
- Record intermittent leave hours and absences based on information provided by the TPA.
- Process leave‑related corrections, adjustments, and updates in a timely manner.
- Ensure employee leave records accurately reflect TPA‑approved leave activity.
- Enter required paid time off per policy, collective bargaining agreement, and applicable laws.
- Maintain confidential employee information in accordance with company policies and privacy regulations.
- Ensure leave data is entered accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies.
- Support internal audits and quality reviews by validating leave information against TPA records.
- Document processing procedures and maintain audit‑ready records.
- Partner with the TPA, HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Leave Administration teams to resolve data discrepancies and processing issues.
- Escalate complex leave administration matters to the appropriate HR or Benefits team members.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding leave status, leave entries, and system updates.
- Support process improvement initiatives focused on leave administration efficiency and data quality.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in HR operations, leave administration and high‑volume data entry.
- Hands‑on experience with Workday Time Off and Leave modules.
- Experience processing employee leave and absence‑related transactions.
- Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data while maintaining quality standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a Third-Party Leave Administrator (TPA).
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and employer‑sponsored leave programs.
- Experience supporting both continuous and intermittent leave administration.
