Job summary

YES Communities in Denver, CO is seeking a Leave & Benefits Specialist to administer leave programs and support benefits administration. You will coordinate with UNUM, manage FMLA, state leaves, personal leaves, and accommodations while ensuring compliance and excellent employee service.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proficient in HRIS and Excel, and capable of partnering with payroll, benefits, and HR partners to deliver accurate, timely leave information and communications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience administering employee leave programs for a multi-location employer.
• Experience managing FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and state leave programs.
• Service-focused professional with ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Experience in HRIS and maintaining confidential employee records.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate leave cases with UNUM and HR stakeholders to ensure timely processing.
• Administer FMLA, state leaves, personal leaves, military, parental, and disability-related leaves.
• Review medical certifications and documentation for leave cases.
• Support return-to-work and manage accommodation discussions.
• Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and risk teams on related processes.
• Prepare reports and identify process improvements.
