Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Manager of Financial Administration to lead fleet operations and financial reporting. You will oversee ERP/PeopleSoft structures, supervise branch changes, and partner with Motion Finance to drive efficiency and cost control.

This role requires a bachelor's in accounting/finance or related field and 5 years' experience, with strong Excel/PowerPoint, ERP, and analytics skills. Occasional travel and a strategic, executive-facing presence are essential.

SUMMARY:The Manager of Financial Administration primary responsibility will be to provide management and oversight of Motion’s fleet operations driving operational and financial efficiencies. In addition, the Manager of Financial Administration will manage the organization’s operational structure in the various operating systems as well as the financial structure in the general ledger system to provide the base for accurate operational and financial reporting. This position will contribute world class financial leadership and resources in support of Motion’s strategic goals.JOB DUTIESCollaborate with our external fleet Management company (Wheels) to ensure smooth and efficient fleet operations, aligning strategies and resolving operational issues promptly.Partner with field leadership to quickly address and resolve field-centric concerns, ensuring operational continuity and high service levels.Review and optimize fleet efficiency by analyzing fleet performance metrics and vehicle allotments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.Oversee fleet optimization initiatives by leading and facilitating initiatives aimed at optimizing fleet operations vehicle allotments, and utilization.Implement structural efficiencies to improve key fleet operating metrics and reduce fleet operational costs.Manage organizational structure processes for ERPs & PeopleSoft.Supervise the maintenance of branch/OU setup, mergers and closures.Maintain general ledger account structure in PeopleSoft.Supervise the preparation and distribution of Daily Sales reports.Support the monthly financial reporting process by serving in as primary backup for report preparation and accuracy verification.Manage team of analyst(s) and establishes strong partnerships with Motion Finance, Corporate departments, field leaders, and the appropriate personnel at the parent company (GPC).Establish goals and related priorities to mentor, coach, and evaluate direct reports.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCETypically requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field and five (5) years of experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESProfessional, executive presence with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with management at all levelsStrong negotiation and partnership skills with ability to influence and challenge decisions and processesForward-thinking in implementing tools and techniques to improve analytics, driving better business decisionsSelf-motivated and able to independently manage multiple responsibilities concurrentlyAbility to manage data between multiple systemsExperience with PeopleSoft General Ledger or similar ERP and Qlik or similar analytic toolsExtensive experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPointPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to travel as needed, up to 15 - 20%LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY: YesCOMPANY INFORMATION:Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.DISCLAIMER:This job description illustrates the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job classification.
