Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking an HR Leave & Accommodations Specialist to administer disability, medical leave programs, and ADA processes with a third-party administrator. The role manages a caseload, ensures compliant, timely handling of claims, and collaborates with HR partners to optimize accommodation outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in leave management, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Workday and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience managing leave or accommodations or related HR field experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct work with independent judgment within guidelines.
• Coordinate with HR Leave & Accommodations Manager and leaders for guidance.
• Deliver leave, disability, and accommodation services with a caseload focus.
• Lead regular case reviews to identify strategies for resolution.
• Serve as SME on FMLA, ADA, PWFA, FLSA, HIPAA, and state programs.
• Stay updated on laws and employer best practices.
• Coordinate leave with eligible benefits and enrollments.
• Respond to staff inquiries on leave/accommodations and RA requests.
• Manage Reasonable Accommodation processes with internal partners.
• Investigate and reconcile leave/pay discrepancies; maintain communication with outfitters.
• Maintain leave status in HRIS and coordinate with Payroll.
• All other duties as assigned.
