Barge Properties Management Company is seeking a Leasing Agent to serve as the primary contact for potential tenants and property owners, marketing available rentals and facilitating leases.

This role emphasizes strong communication, timely responses, and accuracy in applications, with responsibilities spanning tours, policy compliance, and coordination with management and maintenance to keep properties ready for occupancy.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of real estate leasing laws and regulations.
• Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and ethical leasing practices.
• Multilingual abilities to serve diverse tenant populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and present rental units to prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, providing accurate information about availability and leasing terms.
• Assist applicants in completing rental applications, verifying references, and processing lease agreements in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rental rates, and competitor offerings to effectively position properties.
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure units are ready for occupancy and address tenant concerns as needed.
• Track leasing activity and prepare regular reports on occupancy rates, tenant feedback, and leasing progress.
• Promote community events and amenities to enhance tenant engagement and satisfaction.
• Must have reliable transportation and be available to work weekends and evenings as need.
