Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Leasing Agent in Peoria, IL to be the first contact for prospective residents. You will market units, guide applicants through leasing, ensure documentation compliance, and support a positive living experience for residents.

Responsibilities include greeting prospects, processing applications, updating leasing software, and assisting with marketing efforts while upholding Fair Housing and state laws. This on-site role may require some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years on-site property management or leasing experience required.
• Experience in affordable housing programs strongly preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospective residents and present available apartments professionally.
• Ensure leasing activities comply with Fair Housing, ADA, and other applicable laws.
• Conduct eligibility verifications and income targeting per program requirements.
• Complete leasing documents including applications, leases, and communications.
• Enter applicant information into leasing software promptly and accurately.
• Maintain and update leasing activity reports and file paperwork.
• Support marketing by organizing events and conducting outreach.
• Assist with outreach marketing and stay aware of local market conditions.
• Monitor turnover, inspect move-outs, ensure market-ready apartments.
• Support residents during move-in and orientation processes.
• Provide prompt responses to resident concerns and service requests.
• Assist with rent collections and deposits as needed.
• Maintain waiting lists for affordable properties.
