The Domain Companies in New Orleans is seeking a Leasing Specialist who is personable, empathetic, and results-driven. You will build the leasing pipeline, tour prospects, and close transactions while delivering exceptional service.

This role requires a self-starter with strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. You will coordinate move-ins/outs, maintain Yardi records, support marketing efforts, and help create a welcoming, community-focused living experience.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• 2+ years of market rate rental leasing experience preferred.
• Yardi or PayScan experience preferred.
• Customer-centric with a warm demeanor and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Knowledge of New Orleans and local transportation options.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to cold call.
• Tech-savvy with smartphones and computers.

Responsibilities

• Build the leasing pipeline through prospecting, outreach, and community engagement.
• Be the property ambassador and tour prospects.
• Follow up with prospects to build lasting relationships.
• Drive marketing and social media with the corporate team.
• Coordinate move-ins/move-outs and maintain files in Yardi.
• Maintain resident profiles and ledgers in Yardi.
• Conduct unit inspections and coordinate maintenance.
• Plan and promote resident social events and community activities.

What youll be doing

Build the leasing pipeline Prospect relentlessly through relationship building cold outreach and community engagement with universities academic departments and local partnersBe the propertys ambassador Understand what prospective residents prefer want and need Tell the story of life at Thirteen15 and bring it to life on tours Follow up with every prospect personally and build lasting relationshipsDrive marketing and social media Work with the corporate marketing team and property leadership to develop execute and monitor a marketing and social media strategy Conduct regular market surveys track how well current strategies are working and share insights and ideas with leadershipDeliver seamless move ins and move outs Coordinate with the property team to make every transition memorable Prepare and maintain all paper and electronic files including lease renewals and evictions in compliance with company policy state landlordtenant law and state and federal fair housing laws Keep resident profiles and ledgers current in YardiKeep the property in impeccable condition Conduct annual unit inspections and coordinate maintenance requests Follow up with residents to make sure our product and service have exceeded our expectationsBe the neighborhood expert Recommend local activities businesses and services so residents and guests have a great experience in New OrleansBring the community together Help plan coordinate and promote resident social eventsTake ownership Solve problems proactively even outside your area Take on new initiatives and responsibilities as they come up and look for chances to lead and help the company reach its larger goals

Skills Experience and Qualifications Required

High school or GED requiredA minimum of 2 years of market rate rental leasing experience preferred Previous sales experience also preferredYardi andor Pay Scan experience preferredCustomer centric with a warm demeanor positive attitude and impeccable follow throughAbility to work independently and with a teamAbility to plan and prioritize efficiently and motivatelead team membersAbility to work in a fast paced environment and complete multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlinesinterruptionsStrong written and verbal communication and problem solving skills; able to confidently cold call and visit potential prospects to promote the building build the pipeline and establish connectionsKnowledge of the city; knowledge of the local transportation options to include public and private transportation optionsMaintain an organized filing system and office areasTechnically savvy with technology ie smart phones and computersComputer proficiency included but not limited to Microsoft Office
