Job summary

Hunter's Ridge Apartments in Elgin, Illinois, managed by B & A Property Group, is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our team. The role involves marketing the property, maintaining high occupancy, and presenting a professional image to residents and prospects.

You will conduct tours, input traffic data, process leases, manage files, assist with move-ins and move-outs, handle service requests, and support retention programs.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must have proven customer service and/or sales experience (leasing preferred but not required).
• Must be very organized, professional, friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of basic math, and general office technology skills preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced working environment.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, prospects, vendors, visitors, and other customers.
• Conduct building tours for prospective residents and input traffic into software daily.
• Lease apartments in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by management.
• Accurately enter new lease information into computer system.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage new and existing lease files.
• Assist in move-in / move-out process.
• Receive and enter resident service requests.
• Assist with resident programs and retention strategies.
• Assist maintenance team with ordering supplies.
• Assist property manager with purchase orders.
• Assist property manager and co-workers in the management and operations of the property.
• Maintain confidentiality in all job responsibilities as it pertains to staff and tenants.
• Follow policies and procedures while complying with Fair Housing, state and federal laws.
