Job summary

Ascendo-Resources seeks a Leasing Specialist to support three affordable housing communities in Jamaica, Queens. You will process applications, prepare landlord packets, coordinate move-ins/move-outs, maintain compliant tenant files, and collaborate with onsite property teams to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include annual and interim recertifications, voucher handling with NYCHA and HPD, and tours. Travel between three nearby Queens properties is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of affordable housing leasing experience
• 2+ years of Yardi experience
• Experience with NYCHA, HPD, vouchers, landlord packets, and affordable housing compliance
• Tax credit property experience preferred
• Experience with annual and interim recertifications
• Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Comfortable traveling between three nearby Queens properties

Leasing Specialist – Affordable Housing

Location: Jamaica, Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | 35-hour workweek
Pay: $35–$45/hr

About the Role

A well-established NYC real estate organization is seeking a Leasing Specialist to support leasing operations across three affordable housing communities in Jamaica, Queens. The role will assist with applications, tenant documentation, move-ins/move-outs, compliance, and leasing activities while supporting multiple onsite property management teams.

The three properties are approximately 15 minutes apart, with the home base located in Jamaica, Queens.
