Job summary

CityBlock Properties, Inc. is seeking a polished leasing professional for an on-site, full-time role in Athens, GA. The position involves guiding leads to signed leases, conducting in-person showings (including Saturdays), and supervising part-time staff. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; leasing, hospitality, sales or customer service experience is a strong plus.
• Lives within 15 minutes of Athens, GA and can work on-site every day.
• Available Monday–Friday daytime, plus Saturday showings during pre-lease season.
• Polished, professional presence and clear communication with students, parents and guarantors.
• Organized and reliable; you follow through without being reminded and keep records clean.

Responsibilities

• Respond personally to new leads and guide them from first conversation to showing, application and signed lease.
• Run in-person property showings, including Saturdays during pre-lease season.
• Manage lease renewals from offer to signature.
• Serve as the first point of contact for current residents, handling questions and escalations with professionalism.
• Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, condition reports, and unit and exterior inspections.
• Approve and follow through on maintenance work, gather quotes for non-routine jobs, and confirm completion.
• Keep resident, unit and lease records accurate in AppFolio.
• Supervise and train part-time Marketing & Leasing Assistants; monitor automated lead, scheduling and maintenance systems.

Full-time · $18/hour · ON-SITE in Athens, GA (this is not a remote or work-from-home position)

CityBlock Properties is a locally owned student housing company in Athens. We own every property we manage, from historic downtown lofts to houses and townhomes, including our flagship Farmer's Exchange Student Lofts, and we've been doing it since 2002.

We're looking for a polished, dependable professional to be the face of CityBlock to prospective and current residents. You'll turn interest into signed leases, keep residents well looked after, and lead our part‑time team. Our systems handle lead intake, after‑hours follow‑up, showing scheduling and maintenance routing, so your time goes to people and decisions, not data entry.

This role is fully on-site. You'll work from our Athens office and at our properties every day, meeting residents and prospects in person. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.

What you'll do

Leasing

• Respond personally to new leads and guide them from first conversation to showing, application and signed lease
• Run in‑person property showings, including Saturdays during pre‑lease season
• Manage lease renewals from offer to signature

Residents and properties

• Serve as the first point of contact for current residents, handling questions, concerns and escalations with professionalism
• Enforce lease terms and community policies consistently and fairly
• Coordinate move‑ins and move‑outs, condition reports, and unit and exterior inspections
• Approve and follow through on maintenance work, gather quotes for non‑routine jobs, and confirm completion
• Keep resident, unit and lease records accurate in AppFolio

Team

• Supervise and train part‑time Marketing & Leasing Assistants
• Monitor our automated lead, scheduling and maintenance systems and step in when something needs a human

What we're looking for

• A polished, professional presence: you communicate clearly and confidently, in person, by phone and in writing, with students, parents and guarantors
• Composure in difficult conversations: late rent, lease violations, unhappy residents
• Organized and reliable: you follow through without being reminded and keep records clean
• Ready to commit to the role for at least one year
• Lives within 15 minutes of Athens, GA and can work on‑site every day
• Available Monday–Friday daytime, plus Saturday showings during pre‑lease season
• Comfortable with property management software, CRMs and Google Workspace
• A bachelor's degree is preferred; leasing, hospitality, sales or customer service experience is a strong plus
