20 hours/week

- Athens, GA CityBlock Properties is a locally owned student housing company in Athens. We own every property we manage, and have done so since 2002. We're heading into pre-lease season and need someone to get our properties in front of UGA students, in person and online, and to turn that interest into showings. This role suits someone who has finished their degree, is staying in Athens for at least the next year, and wants hands‑on marketing and real estate experience they can point to.
What you'll do Marketing and advertising
- Represent CityBlock on and around the UGA campus: student organizations, events, flyers and face‑to‑face conversations
- Create and post social media content each week (photos, short video, stories), working from a plan set with our team lead
- Advertise available units: publish and refresh listings across our rental sites with current photos, descriptions and pricing
- Keep ads live and accurate, take them down when a unit is leased, and place and track "For Rent" signage Leads and showings
- Respond to and follow up with leasing inquiries during your shifts
- Schedule and run property showings, including one or two on Saturdays during pre-lease season
Where it can go
You’ll start with marketing and leasing. As you complete our training, you can take on maintenance coordination and tenant services, with pay increases tied to the added responsibility. You’ll work directly with our team lead and the owner, not a corporate hierarchy.
What we’re looking for
- You’ve finished your undergraduate degree (any field; marketing, business or communications is a plus)
- You’ll be in Athens through at least August 2027, and live within 15 minutes of our properties
- You’re comfortable starting conversations with strangers, and you can show us how you think about marketing
- You have a feel for what works on Instagram and TikTok, and have posted content you can share
- You’re reliable: you show up when scheduled and follow up without being reminded
- Weekday availability (flexible, including some afternoons) and Saturdays for showings
- Customer service, sales or hospitality experience is a plus. We train thoroughly.
