Job summary

Texas Apartment Association is seeking a Leasing Professional to be the front-line ambassador for the apartment community, the management team, and the company. You will assist prospective residents in finding a new home through professional interactions and full-cycle support.

You will manage tours, applications, leases, move-in readiness, and follow-up, while maintaining knowledge of the community and market.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of customer service, hospitality, retail, or sales experience.
  • At least one year of office administration or data entry experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of property management software.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work Saturdays as part of regular schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate prospective resident’s needs and provide an exciting and informative full-cycle experience; fact-finding, touring, home selection, application process, execution of lease documents, preparation for move-in, move-in, follow up.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the apartment community, amenities, and community.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced office through multiple communication channels: answering calls, scheduling appointments, and greeting visitors.
  • Provide a daily inspection of show apartments and model appearance.
  • Process applications and leases in a timely manner.
  • Produce reports in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
  • Maintain organized community office files.
  • Always provide professional and exceptional best-in-class customer service.
  • Track and timely record all traffic interactions utilizing company approved and utilized software.
  • Participate in the renewal process of existing residents.
  • Stay abreast of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Remain educated on market conditions and assist with compiling market data to supplement sales knowledge and decision-making.
  • Conduct market research and assist with business outreach marketing, resident functions, and other promotional programs.
  • Utilize various computer software to enter information and pull various reports, as assigned by the Property Manager.
  • Willingly take on additional projects and/or duties as assigned.
