Job summary

GC Realty & Development, LLC is seeking a Leasing Manager to lead the leasing team and own the end-to-end process from marketing vacancies to signing leases. The role requires a strong track record in leasing with 3+ years plus supervisory experience and an IL broker's license.

You will set rental rates, approve marketing, manage showings, review applications, and ensure compliance with landlord/tenant laws while coaching a team of showing agents, a marketing coordinator, and an underwriter.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years as a Leasing Agent with 1+ year in a supervisory role (5+ years as a Leasing Supervisor preferred).
• Illinois Broker's License is required, no exceptions.
• Working knowledge of local/state landlord/tenant law incl. suburb/village rental rules.
• Experience with leasing, owner agreements, and documents for third-party landlords.
• Comfort using MLS and other rental databases to price, compare, and market units.
• Track record hiring, training, coaching, and holding a leasing team accountable.
• Strong front-line customer service with tenants, applicants, clients, vendors, and real estate pros.

Responsibilities

• Own The Leasing Process: Oversee marketing vacant units to signed leases.
• Set Rental Rates: Quote rates for new and existing clients based on market conditions.
• Approve Marketing: Sign off on marketing strategy; adjust rates for vacant units.
• Manage Showings: Keep showing schedules full; fill any unit with no applications after 7 days.
• Review Applications: Approve/deny all applications within 3 days, incl. subsidies/grants.
• Manage Leases: Review new leases and renewals for accuracy before execution.
• Lead the Team: Lead 2 showing agents, 2 1099 agents, marketing coordinator, and an underwriter; coach and staff to handle volume.
• Handle Escalations: Own leasing client escalations; update clients on status.
• Stay Compliant: Ensure leasing activity follows local/state landlord/tenant law and company policy.

We're hiring a Leasing Manager to lead our leasing team and own that process end to end, from setting rental rates to executing the lease.

Salary

$60,000 to $70,000 per year, based on experience, plus the package below.

What You'll Do

• Set Rental Rates: Provide rate quotes for new and existing clients based on market conditions.
• Approve Marketing: Sign off on marketing strategy and adjust rates on all vacant units.
• Manage Showings: Keep showing schedules full, and jump in on any property with no applications after 7 days.
• Review Applications: Approve or deny every application within 3 days, including new subsidy programs or grants.
• Manage Leases: Review new leases and renewals for accuracy before execution.
• Lead the Team: Lead a team of 2 showing agent employees, 2 1099 showing agents, a marketing coordinator, and an underwriter, coaching and holding them accountable, and making sure they're properly staffed to handle showing volume.
• Handle Escalations: Own leasing client escalations and keep clients updated on status.
• Stay Compliant: Ensure every leasing activity follows local and state landlord/tenant law and company policy.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: At least 3 years as a Leasing Agent, plus 1+ years in a supervisory role (5+ years as a Leasing Supervisor preferred).
