Sandalwood Management is seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant to join the leasing office at Tapestry Centerpoint in New Braunfels, TX. The role involves welcoming prospects, assessing their needs, and presenting the community to secure lease agreements.

Candidates should have apartment leasing experience, be service-oriented, organized, and able to work with English/Spanish speakers. Yardi experience and LIHTC knowledge are highly valued; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of apartment leasing experience.
• LIHTC experience preferred.
• Experience with Yardi property management software.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Stand and greet everyone who enters the office.
• Answer incoming calls and handle inquiries professionally.
• Welcome prospects, understand needs, present the community, and close the sale.
• Inspect tour routes, amenities, models, and vacancies for readiness.
• Maintain knowledge of the property, local area, and competitors.
• Help maintain market survey monthly.
• Review lease applications and notify applicants of results.

Job Details: Job Location: Tapestry Centerpoint - San Marcos, TX 78666, Salary Range: $19.00 - $22.00, Sandalwood Management is seeking a full-timeLeasing Consultantto assist in the leasing office ofTapestry Centerpoint in New Braunfels, TX.

The Leasing Professional is the community’s sales representative. The primary duties of the leasing professional are to welcome prospects, understand their needs and wants and to be able to professionally present the features and benefits of the community to properly secure lease agreements from qualified persons. We are looking for someone extremely service oriented; cheerful and articulate, friendly and welcoming, quick to put people at ease, extremely organized and are always looking for opportunities to be proactive with service and quick. They will need to respond to inquiries and requests accurately and timely. Someone confident that enjoys selling a product that they know meets the needs of interested prospects. With a professional demeanor and are neatly and professionally presented at all times. Previous experience in residential leasing or in sales preferred.

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Stand and greet everyone who enters the office
• Answer incoming phone calls and handle each call professionally whether it is a prospect call, resident, service request, etc.
• Welcome prospects to the property, understand their needs, build rapport and present the community as the ideal solution. Uncover and counter all objections and close the sale
• Inspect tour route, amenities, models and market ready vacancies daily to ensure readiness for viewing
• Acquire and maintain up-to-date and thorough knowledge of the apartment community, local competitors and neighborhood (local schools, restaurants, shopping, recreation etc.)
• Help maintain and update market survey monthly
• Review lease applications, assist with application verification and notify prospective residents of results

WHAT WE NEED:

• 1+ years of apartment leasing experience
• LIHTC experience, highly preferred
• Experience with Yardi property management software, a plus
• Bilingual in English/Spanish, a plus
• Positive, friendly, and ambitious attitude with excellent problem solving, listening, and deductive reasoning skills
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with prospects, co-workers, residents, vendors and corporate staff
• Excellent customer service skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Valid driver’s license, required
• Successfully pass preemployment background check and drug test, required
• Desire to learn the requirements of the Property Management industry so that you can be promoted

COMPENSATION:

• 19-22/hr, negotiable, depending on experience
• Monthly renewal commission, new move-in commissions, and bonus opportunities
