Job summary

Stonemark is seeking a Leasing Consultant to market, show and lease apartments to prospective tenants in a fast-paced community.

You will respond to applicants, verify rental applications, prepare move-in packages and assist in renewals and resident relations, working closely with the Community Manager.

Ideal candidates have an AA degree or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of leasing experience; excellent people skills and professional demeanor are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year leasing experience.
• Excellent people and communication skills are required.
• Must be well organized, professional, friendly and diligent.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and updates inventory of apartments available to rent.
• Establishes rapport with prospective residents and presents community to meet their needs.
• Schedules showings, overcomes objections and follows up with undecided prospects.
• Verifies rental applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares move-in and welcome packages.
• Assists in move-in/move-out process and ensures apartments are clean and ready.
• Assists in rent collection and maintenance requests processing.
• Assists in preparing the community newsletter.
• Supports Community Manager and steps in during their absence.
