Job summary

JBG SMITH in Washington, DC is seeking a Leasing Consultant to guide prospective residents in selecting apartments and building lasting relationships. You will conduct personalized tours, explain options, and coordinate move-ins with the team to ensure a seamless experience.

Successful candidates bring strong customer service and sales skills, comfort with computer systems, and a passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences. Weekend availability is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Work in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment helping prospective residents find the perfect apartment to call home. Driven by a desire to build relationships, excel at connecting with prospective residents by developing an understanding of their needs to ensure that we deliver the best in apartment living.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop in-depth knowledge of the community to recommend the right apartment or the best retailer in the neighborhood.
• Conduct thoughtful and personalized tours to prospective residents to locate the apartment that best meets their needs, which ultimately results in new leases.
• Coordinate with residents and the team to ensure a smooth move-in experience.
• Participate in community activities and social events to build resident relationships.
• Leverage resident relationships and creativity to quickly respond to resident requests to drive resident satisfaction.
• Work a flexible schedule to include weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS)

• Experience in customer service-related fields such as hospitality, retail, or restaurants, and the highest standards of integrity, creativity, and teamwork.
• Outstanding sales skills and a desire for continual learning and professional development.
• Strong aptitude for computer systems and software.

HOW WE SUPPORT YOU

The salary range for this position is $24/hour to $27/hour. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. JBG SMITH considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.

JBG SMITH offers a bonus program, leasing and renewal incentives, and a competitive benefits package; including up to $5,250 annual reimbursement for professional development opportunities
