Job Summary

The Leasing Consultant plays a vital role in leasing, resident retention, and community occupancy, while promoting resident satisfaction through excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet prospects, qualify leads, and gather necessary information.
• Prepare move-in packages and lease documentation.
• Record all visits and inquiries accurately and maintain guest cards.
• Inspect models and available units, communicating service needs to management.
• Assist prospects with applications and deposits, ensuring compliance with procedures and Fair Housing laws.
• Process applications, conduct credit checks, and submit for approval.
• Monitor lease renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Assess advertising effectiveness and gather market competition data.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and process them promptly.
• Complete lease paperwork and input data into the Yardi System accurately.
• Support the management team with additional tasks as needed.
• Implement community policies consistently.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in customer service and/or sales.
• Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and community management software.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• At least 2 years of relevant customer service experience.
• Neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Ability to handle customer concerns effectively.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, climb, and remain at a desk for extended periods.
• Ability to walk the property in various weather conditions.
• Ability to climb stairs to show units.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
