Position Summary

As a Leasing Consultant, you are a dynamic professional who easily relates and communicates with prospective and current residents of your community. With a warm and energetic personality, you will consistently find joy in creating lasting and positive impressions. This role is responsible for coordinating the community's marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue retention goals. A successful Leasing Consultant manages their time effectively, is detail-oriented, trustworthy, a team player, and takes pride in their work. Additionally, this position requires accountability and attentiveness to provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, associates, and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Walk the marketing tour path, open target viewing apartments, ensure apartments, model homes, and community amenities are clean and rent-ready.
  2. Respond promptly to resident and prospective resident calls and emails in the morning.
  3. Answer incoming calls, convert calls into walk-in traffic, and set viewing appointments.
  4. Tour prospective residents with energy and enthusiasm the Weidner way.
  5. Facilitate the application process at the end of the tour to ensure successful leasing.
  6. Review and process all applications immediately upon receipt.
  7. Communicate timely and respectfully with applicants upon receiving results.
  8. Follow Weidner Move-In Experience procedures with all approved applicants.
  9. Maintain and follow up on traffic in queue.
  10. Shop competitive properties at least monthly; adhere to daily marketing and leasing strategies.
  11. Ensure market-ready apartments, common areas, and amenities are maintained daily to Weidner's standards.
  12. Assist with distributing resident correspondence and notices while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Prior customer service experience required.
  • Ability to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Motivated to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to give clear professional directions in person, over the phone, email, and text.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; willing to learn new software.
  • Adherence to Weidner's Mission, Vision, and Values, and compliance with all policies and laws.
  • Prompt, regular attendance; professional appearance and dress code compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours as needed.
  • Willingness to be assigned to other properties as needed.
  • English language proficiency; detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Must pass criminal background check and voluntary drug testing.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance.
