Job summary

Acento Real Estate Partners is seeking a motivated Leasing Consultant to join our team in Hampton, VA. You will greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and match applicants with ideal homes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role involves guiding applicants through the application process, processing background and credit checks, coordinating move-ins, and delivering outstanding resident service. Proficiency with OneSite is preferred, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s in Marketing, Sales, or Advertising preferred.
• At least 1 year of leasing experience is required.
• Familiarity with property management systems like OneSite, MRI, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong communication and closing skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Leasing & Tours: greet prospects, conduct property tours, showcase features, match residents with homes.
• Sales Process: qualify prospects, assist with applications, process background and credit checks for timely lease signings.
• Move-In Coordination: prepare lease agreements, move-in packages, inspect units before move-in, ensure units are in excellent condition.
• Customer Service: respond to resident requests, answer calls, provide exceptional support to current and prospective residents.
• Daily Operations: maintain an organized leasing office, keep common areas welcoming and tour-ready.
• System Management: use OneSite or similar software to track traffic, manage availability, and maintain resident data.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leasing & Tours: Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, showcase apartment features, and match potential residents with the perfect home.
• Sales Process: Qualify prospects, assist with applications, and process background and credit checks to support timely lease signings and move‑ins.
• Move‑In Coordination: Prepare lease agreements and move‑in packages, inspect apartments before move‑in, and ensure all units are in excellent condition.
• Customer Service: Respond to resident service requests, answer incoming calls, and provide exceptional support to current and prospective residents.
• Daily Operations: Maintain an organized leasing office and ensure all community common areas are clean, inviting, and tour‑ready.
• System Management: Use property management software (OneSite or similar) to track leasing traffic, manage availability, and maintain resident data.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or Advertising preferred)
• At least 1 year of leasing experience required
• Familiarity with property management systems like OneSite, MRI, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability to close leases
• Solid understanding of property management principles and customer service
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bilingual in Spanish & English is a plus!
