Job summary

SELA REALTY Investments in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking a motivated Leasing Consultant to join our property management team. You will showcase available units, engage with prospective residents, and manage the leasing process from inquiry to move-in.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or real estate education a plus.
  • Previous experience in leasing, property management, real estate, hospitality, sales, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Professional, friendly, and service-oriented personality.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with ability to present properties and close leases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects, applications, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, property management software, and online leasing platforms.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and applicable landlord-tenant regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, online platforms, and in person.
  • Conduct property tours and highlight features and amenities.
  • Build relationships with prospective and current residents and deliver excellent service.
  • Manage leasing process from inquiry to move-in.
  • Follow up with prospects to maximize occupancy.
  • Process rental applications and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Maintain leasing records and resident documentation.
  • Stay updated on availability, rates, and community information.
  • Assist with marketing units through approved channels.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitors for leasing opportunities.
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs; assist residents through transitions.
  • Work with Property Managers and maintenance to present market-ready properties.
  • Support resident retention and community initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Fair Housing laws.
  • Perform other leasing and operations duties as assigned.

SELA REALTY Investments is seeking a motivated, personable, and results-driven Leasing Consultant to join our property management team. The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for showcasing available properties, engaging with prospective residents, managing the leasing process, and providing exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and is passionate about real estate and property management.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to leasing inquiries through phone, email, online platforms, and in-person interactions.
  • Conduct property tours and effectively highlight the features, amenities, and benefits of available units.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective and current residents while delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry and application through approval, lease execution, and move-in.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective residents to maximize leasing opportunities and occupancy.
  • Process rental applications, verify required documentation, and coordinate with internal teams during the approval process.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate leasing records, reports, and resident documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property availability, rental rates, amenities, policies, and community information.
  • Assist with marketing available units through online listings, advertisements, and other approved channels.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor properties to help identify leasing opportunities and trends.
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs and assist residents throughout the transition process.
  • Work closely with Property Managers and maintenance teams to ensure properties are presented in a clean, attractive, and market-ready condition.
  • Support resident retention initiatives and help foster a positive community environment.
  • Ensure all leasing activities comply with company policies and applicable fair housing laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties related to leasing and property operations as assigned.
