Job Summary

We are seeking a Leasing Consultant who will serve as a company ambassador, engaging with the public, current tenants, and property team members. The ideal candidate will ensure effective leasing activities, market the community to prospective residents, and perform screening policies for applicants. Responsibilities include overseeing resident orientation, managing office tasks, maintaining positive relations, and portraying a positive image of the company.

Responsibilities

1. Meet potential renters and conduct tours of available units.
2. Ensure "model" or "vacant" units are ready for showing.
3. Lease apartments at optimal rental levels while providing excellent customer service.
4. Verify applicant information, perform background and credit checks, and assess qualification.
5. Qualify potential residents before final approval.
6. Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and resolve issues.
7. Follow up on leads for potential renters.
8. Inform residents of changes to rental agreements or property issues.
9. Complete lease documents accurately and timely.
10. Maintain organized resident files per company policy.
11. Enter resident data into the property management system according to policy.
12. Inspect apartments prior to move-in to ensure readiness.
13. Assist in resident retention and renewal programs to meet occupancy and rental goals.
14. Stay informed about rental values and amenities of competitors.
15. Handle rent collection, security deposits, and application fees.
16. Ensure community facilities are well maintained.
17. Assist in preparing market survey reports as needed.
