Job summary

GMH Communities in Auburn, AL, seeks a Leasing Consultant to manage leasing activities, engage with prospective residents, and drive occupancy through strong outside marketing and exceptional service.

The role focuses on tours, lease generation, and coordinating with the Leasing Manager to maintain excellent resident relations while complying with Fair Housing laws.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in the apartment, leasing, or hospitality industry preferred.
• Yardi, RentCafe, Entrata, or similar software-- Preferred.
• Outgoing, gregarious personality & an enthusiasm for marketing, leasing, and sales.
• Active knowledge of online Social Media and social presence avenues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive resident relations through outstanding service
• Participate in the daily operations of the property
• Conduct phone, online, and in person sales with prospective residents and renewals
• Process leases, complete lease files & ensure all corresponding paperwork/data is accurate
• Assist with leasing events and activities – heavy emphasis on outside marketing
• Participate in resident retention events and activities
• Shop competitor’s properties
• Assist with online Social Media representation, presence, and marketing outreach

Job Description:

The Leasing Consultant reports to the Leasing Manager and serves as the primary contact for residents and prospective residents looking to renew or engage in a new lease. The Leasing Consultant’s primary responsibilities include all elements related to leasing, including but not limited to: communication to residents and prospective residents, handling walk in traffic, touring, generating lease documents, signing and closing leases, meeting or exceeding budgeted occupancy. This position will have a heavy emphasis on outside marketing – networking with local businesses and prospective residents, hosting and setting up events, guerilla marketing.In addition, the Leasing Consultant will assist the Leasing Manager in coordinating resident activities, leasing activities, assist with move-in, and maintain excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. The Leasing Consultant is also responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.

• Active knowledge of online Social Media and social presence avenues
• Proficiency in converting phone calls to appointments and appointments to leases
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities as well as, excellent communication and people skills
• A passion to serve residents, parents, vendors, and colleagues
