Job summary

Role Description

The Leasing Consultant is a full-time, on-site role located in Arlington Heights, IL. This position is responsible for managing the full leasing process, including greeting prospective residents, conducting property tours, explaining lease terms, and guiding applicants through the application and approval process. The Leasing Consultant will maintain accurate lease documentation and records, support resident retention through responsive communication and professional follow-up, and assist with renewals and move-ins. Daily tasks include handling inquiries by phone, email, and in person; providing outstanding customer service; collaborating with property management and maintenance teams; and supporting marketing efforts to attract and retain residents.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with leases and lease administration, including processing applications and preparing lease documents.
• Ability to support resident retention through relationship‑building, follow‑up on resident concerns, and participation in resident engagement activities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse residents, prospects, and team members.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing leasing files, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
• Proficiency with property management software and basic office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and document management).
• Ability to work on‑site, including some evenings or weekends as needed to meet leasing and resident needs.
• Previous experience in residential property management, leasing, or a related customer‑facing role is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, real estate, or a related field is a plus.
