TLC Management Co. is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Chicago, IL to support the Property Manager with day-to-day operations of a residential community.

You will build relationships with residents, help drive occupancy, maintenance, and leasing efforts while managing ledgers and collections. The role requires a proactive, customer-focused professional with at least 3 years of experience in property management and the ability to work Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager in residential property management.
• Ability to work with a team to reach the property’s goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all aspects of the property’s occupancy, appearance and maintenance goals.
• Assist with marketing, handling prospect inquiries and converting calls to shows and rentals.
• Process rental applications according to company policy.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements.
• Ensure move-in ready apartments.
• Support retention through proactive service and follow-up with residents.
• Assist with resident events and appreciation activities.
• Manage rent collection and review resident ledgers; issue eviction notices as needed.
• Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests.
• Conduct daily property walkthroughs to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with move-outs and training of leasing staff.
