Position Overview

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, offers a full‑time Leasing Associate role in the Garden City office. The Associate will work with clients from a variety of industries across the country, gaining exposure to a rapidly expanding and nationally recognized practice.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial leases, emphasizing retail and office properties.
• Collaborate with clients from a wide range of industries nationwide.
• Participate in lease litigation, including commercial landlord‑tenant disputes, construction litigation, and other lease‑related disputes.
• Maintain hyper‑responsive communication and meet strict deadlines by multi‑tasking efficiently.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of significant New York City leasing experience from a peer law firm.
• Extensive experience and proven success in drafting and negotiating commercial leases (retail and office).
• Industrial leasing experience is a plus.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Must be admitted to the NY bar.
• Outstanding drafting, communication, client‑service, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills, with the ability to multi‑task and exceed deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected Pay Range $200,000 – $300,000 per year

Salary is determined based on education, experience, job‑related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
