Job Title: Leasing Agent (Temporary, Full-Time)

Gateway Management is seeking a temporary, full-time Leasing Agent for our apartment community in Beaufort, SC. The role involves assisting prospective tenants, answering inquiries, showing apartments, and supporting the property manager.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet prospective residents, assess their needs, and professionally present the community and available apartments, highlighting features and benefits.
  2. Respond promptly and appropriately to inquiries via email and phone.
  3. Prepare lease agreements and renewal documents.
  4. Adhere to Fair Housing Standards in all interactions with prospects and residents.
  5. Support the Property Manager in achieving occupancy goals.
  6. Foster resident retention through positive relationships and assist with resident events and programs as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of sales or leasing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment.
  • Positive, friendly, and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Typical office environment for apartment management.
  • Light to medium physical activity including standing, walking, stair climbing, stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Prolonged computer use and communication via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Regular property inspections and resident interactions.

Additional requirements include potential evening and weekend work, on-call responsibilities, and a basic computer skill set. Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of engaging with diverse individuals.
